Please join us for our next Virtual Club Meeting on Friday, September 18, 2020 at 12pm. Our speaker will be Mr. Luis Quesada, FBI Special Agent in Charge.

Mr. Luis Quesada serves as the special agent in charge of the El Paso Field Office. He previously served in the Training Division in Quantico, Virginia. Mr. Quesada joined the FBI as a special agent in 1995 and was assigned to the Miami Field Office. He investigated violent crimes with a focus on bank robberies, extortion, and kidnappings. He transferred to the San Juan Field Office in 1998 and returned to Miami in 2001 to work drug investigations. He also served as an Operator on SWAT teams In 2003, Mr. Quesada was promoted to supervisory special agent and transferred to the Terrorist Screening Center. He then served as a defensive tactics instructor at the FBI Academy in Quantico from 2005 to 2007. Following this, he returned to Miami as a supervisor. Thereafter, he was selected as the acting assistant special agent in charge of Miami’s Criminal Branch. In 2010, Mr. Quesada was named the assistant legal attaché in Buenos Aires, Argentina, responsible for promoting FBI interests in Argentina, Paraguay, and Uruguay. In 2012, he was promoted to the Criminal Investigative Division at FBI Headquarters, where he focused on counter narcotics efforts in Latin America and the U.S. Southwest border. Mr. Quesada was named legal attaché of Sarajevo, Bosnia-Herzegovina, in 2014. He was appointed assistant special agent in charge of the Jackson, Mississippi Field Office in 2015. He transferred to the Training Division in 2017, and was promoted to Section Chief in 2018. Mr. Quesada earned a bachelor’s degree in liberal studies from Florida International University and served as a police officer and detective for the Miami Police Department before dedicating his service to the FBI.
