| El Paso Downtown Lions Club 2010 Scholarship Opportunities for Youth Outstanding Student Award Competition Diabetic Awareness Essay Competition Drug Awareness Speech Competition Contests for District Competition will be at the Lions MD2-T3 District Convention to be held in Pecos, Texas on Jan 30, 2010 Three Scholarships will be awarded at the District Level in each competition: 1st Place = $ 750.00 2d Place = $500.00 3rd Place = $250.00 Winners of District Competition will progress to the State Competition. The Texas Lion MD-2 State Competition will be held in El Paso Texas on May 14-15, 2010 at the WYNDHAM HOTEL 2027 AIRWAY BLVD., EL PASO, TX Two Scholarships will be awarded at the State Level in each competition: 1st Place = $ 3,000.00 2d Place = $1,000.00 To read, download, and print Contest Rules, Application Form, and Contestant Biographical Summary Form, go to this website: http://www.texaslions.org/newyouthcontestspage.htm For early consideration, submit your Application Form to your School Guidance Office by Dec 10, 2009.
